Bridgeport in a (virtual) Box
A Resource of the North Texas Conference Center for Leadership Development
It has always been a dream of ours to take the wonderful curriculum that we use at summer camp and create a way for individual persons and churches to utilize it. We figured what better time to take a crack at it than when we are all stuck in our homes and trying to figure out how to minister to our children and youth in these times of social distancing.
After a successful summer of virtual camp we hope to continue to update our website with future virtual camp opportunities and curriculum!
How can I use Bridgeport in a Box?
Our curriculum is designed to be used in the home or as a church group. Our activities have been specifically tailored to meet the needs of both. Whether its sitting around a table with your kids or in front of a computer screen on Zoom, this curriculum can be a fun an engaging way to engage young people in their faith formation.
Using curriculum in the home
For those wanting to use this curriculum in their homes we combined the use of Social Media and other online sites to safely connect your campers with other in home campers through out North Texas.
Using curriculum with your church group
This curriculum is designed to be easily translated into an online space for use with children or youth church groups. Our content can easily be shared via your own social media and online apps such as Zoom.
Safe and Secure Online Forum: "Outside the Box"
For those looking for a more connectional experience we have forums set up for you to share your creations from our different Games and Activities. In order to view and post to our forums you will need to create a member account.
Modular Design
Each Lesson is comprised of four different modules that allow you to tailor the lessons to fit your needs. For example, many groups may already have a practice for opening or closing their time together. If thats the case use what you need and forget the rest.
