Bridgeport in a (virtual) Box

A Resource of the North Texas Conference Center for Leadership Development

It has always been a dream of ours to take the wonderful curriculum that we use at summer camp and create a way for individual persons and churches to utilize it. We figured what better time to take a crack at it than when we are all stuck in our homes and trying to figure out how to minister to our children and youth in these times of social distancing.

After a successful summer of virtual camp we hope to continue to update our website with future virtual camp opportunities and curriculum!

Using curriculum in the home

For those wanting to use this curriculum in their homes we combined the use of Social Media and other online sites to safely connect your campers with other in home campers through out North Texas.

We created Bridgeport In a Box to meet an immediate need during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are continuing to develop the website as a place where we will post past and future curriculum for use in churches and households.

2022 Curriculum: Now Available

In this curriculum our campers discuss who we are created to be, and how our perspective as United Methodists helps us interpret what scripture says about our God-given identity. God creates us and before we even know what it means, God claims us as beloved children. As we grow and learn, God gives us new ways to understand the world, and we discover God’s presence all around us.
